The goal of Big House Market is to provide students and residents of Ann Arbor with an easy, reliable, and efficient way to order groceries. While everyone in this booming town is constantly busy, there are ways to cut wasted time out of your schedule. Using Big House Market will save you from driving to the grocery store, and spending an hour of your day picking out items from the store. Tell us what to get and we will provide it for you!
The website was founded in early 2016 by Danny Mak (Grosse Pointe, Michigan) and Tommy Marcus (Tenafly, New Jersey). Since there are no grocery stores within walking distance of campus, grocery runs are inconvenient and lose priority, especially among students. Tommy and Danny realized the difficulty in going grocery shopping for people on campus without cars and set out to provide Ann Arbor with the best possible grocery delivery service.
Both in their third year as Evans Scholars at the University of Michigan, Danny is studying Economics and Mathematics and Tommy is studying Sports Management and Statistics. This is their first entrepreneurial venture and they are looking forward to providing customers with first-class service.
